The end of browsing 

I was thinking just now that we’re in an age called, “the end of browsing” an age where sight supersedes touch to a point that lesser experiences are elevated simply because of sensory deprivation. 

You can argue that physical texture is a missing factor in our aesthetic determination. Shiny supersedes thickness. All surfaces appear flat.
