It’s the end of the year, and I’m slowing down and reflecting as I wind down the second year of my 1 Album a Day listening and painting project and looking at photos I’ve taken on planes as I’ve traveled around the world for work.

When I started this project in 2018, I thought I would be writing daily about the album of the day. But the truth of the matter is I’d rather paint every day. I get much more satisfaction with improving visually over verbally.

And when I do write, I’ve become very accustomed to doing it on my phone in the middle of the night. It’s a very slow and unproductive way to tell stories, but it’s better than not writing at all, I remind myself.  Still, as someone that likes to tell stories, I’m always searching for fun ways to express myself. Which I guess explains my new found love of apps like Generate.
