The pandemic has slowed life to a halt. In February, I spent 4 days total at home. I don’t know when I’ll leave it again. I’ve begun to take photos of the little details in my neighborhood instead of the little details of the world outside of home. One of my favorite touches are these pinwheels left behind, a leftover promotion from last summer’s Independence Day. Many of us kept these presents from a local realtor, each a little different. As I’ve weaved through my nearby streets, wandering in circles I’ve become aware of all the variations. And I’ve photographed many of them, a symbol of this moment in history when the world stopped as we waited for the curve to flatten and the virus to pass.
